DB2 is IBM's offering to the highend database market. The latest version of DB2 (Universal Database) is ideal for OLTP, Data Warehousing, Decision Support and everything in between. It's well priced, extremely scalable and runs on virtually every platform out there from handhelds to mainframes.
Design Advisor not compatible with 64 bit?
We recently upgraded our DB2 instance on the AIX server to 64 bit (8.1 Fixpack 10). I also changed the DAS to point to the 64 bit libraries. When I try to use Design Advisor against the database I get the following error:
"Design Advisor" cannot run without "db2advis". Ensure that the Database Tools subcomponent is installed.
I changed the DAS to point to the 32 bit libraries and it works. Is Design Advisor incompatible with 64 bit or is there something else we need to change?
